Are You Hiding in Plain Sight? Ignite Your New Story!
Aug 26, 2024Hey Lifeswervers!
It’s late summer and the September crunch is upon us for many. Today, we’re asking a big, bold question: Are you hiding in plain sight? This is something I have been asking myself and working through for the better part of my life.
From the time we are babies, we are told to be quiet, be seen and not heard, don’t be too big or loud – care what others think. Well, we all deserve to be curious and discover who we really, truly are – an incredible human being with many gifts and talents to share with the world!! We are all worthy and deserving to live our own magical story!
Ask yourself these questions and be honest with your answers: Are you too invested in your kids’ lives and living through them? Are you camouflaging yourself under extra weight? A job or boss you’re not crazy about? Are you sucked into the busyness of life? It’s time to shine a light on those hiding spots and embrace the fear of being seen – because guess what? Living fully means stepping out of the shadows and into the life you truly want.
Let’s get real for a sec - it’s easy to blend into the background when life gets overwhelming, but here’s the thing: you deserve to be seen and live a life that excites you! The fear of stepping out or speaking up might be real, but the joy of living authentically is even more powerful.
I have done all of the above – it’s not about perfection, but curiosity and knowing you are your own best friend! Ready to swerve out of hiding? Start by identifying where you’re holding back. Is it your health? Your career? Your personal life? Once you’ve spotted your hiding place, take one small step toward the light. Sign up for that class you’ve been thinking about, have an honest chat with your boss about your goals, or simply block out some "you" time in your schedule. And remember, it’s okay to feel scared – fear is just excitement in disguise.
So, let’s embrace the fear, step out of the shadows, and ignite the life you’ve been dreaming of.
You’ve got this, Lifeswervers!
